The article 'Development of the Arterial Roots and Ventricular Outflow Tracts' by Anderson et al describes the detailed anatomical changes during the overall remodelling of mouse and human embryonic hearts during development. Until now, the separation of the outflow tract of the developing heart into systemic and pulmonary arterial channels remained poorly understood. The publication has used high resolution human embryonic and fetal tissue sections provided by the Human Developmental Biology Resource and experimental data carried out by our In House Gene Expression Service.
